Episode 12 of the Amazing Race

The Realty TV Show Amazing Race starts out from the 10th Pit Stop in the race around the world.  Tammy & Victor were the first team to depart at 9:15PM.  Margie & Luke were the 2nd team to depart at 11:24 PM.  Jaime & Cara were the 3rd and last team to depart at 2:04 AM.

Teams must now fly over 5,000 miles to the island of Maui, Hawaii.  Once there, they will make their way to beach access 118, where they will find their next clue.  As it turns out, all teams made it on the same flight to Maui.

At the beach access 118, teams must prep a pig for a traditional “Luau” (an elaborate Hawaiian feast or party).  They must season it and carry it (145 pounds) for 200 yards along the beach to the Luau.  Finally, using an example for reference, they must properly cover the pig to be cooked, in order to receive their next clue.

Margie & Luke finished this task first, as they carried their pig on their shoulders, using the traditional pole that was provided for them.  The other teams carried their pigs waist high, and kept dropping it due to the enormous stress it put upon their hands and forearm muscles.

Teams must now make their way to a beach at McGreggor Point.  Once there, they will take a one mile ride on water crafts to a marked buoy field where they will have to search among 100 buoys to find their next clue.

Margie & Luke finished this water task in first place, and received their next clue.  Teams must travel along the highway by taxi until they find a fence of “surfboards” which is made of surfboards that will have their next clue waiting for them.

Margie & Luke were the first team to find the next clue, which was a Road Block.  In this Road Block, one person has to overcome 3 weeks of physical and mental fatigue and remember everything they have done on the race.  Teams must search through a pile of more than 300 vintage surfboards to find eleven of them that have pictures related to things they have encountered along the prior eleven legs of the race.  Most of the surfboards have incorrect pictures on them.  Once teams have found their surfboards, they must create a surfboard fence by standing the boards up in the correct order, according to their pictures.  When they have succeeded, they will receive their next clue of where to find the finish line, and the end to this Amazing Race.

After three continents, nine countries, and 40,000 miles, Tammy & Victor finished in first place and are the official winners of this Realty TV show Amazing Race.  They won the one million dollar prize.  Jaime & Cara were the second team to finish.  They were the only all female team that has ever made it this far in all of the Amazing Race seasons.  Margie & Luke finished in third place, and Luke said he is proof that a hearing impaired person can do anything if one is determined.

Episode 11 of Amazing Race

The Realty TV show of the Amazing Race starts out with Jaime and Cara, currently in first place, who must now take a taxi to find their next clue.  Margie and Luke were the 2nd team to get their next clue.  Tammy and Victor were the 3rd team, and Kisha and Jen, (Sisters), currently in last place.

Teams must now search the shops at the mall and find the Travelocity roaming Gnome for their next clue.  Tammy & Victor found the Gnome first and received their next clue.  Teams must now make their way to Gu Gong Xi Bei Jiao and find a popular Chinese mode of transportation, the electric bicycle.  They then must ride the electric bikes to Dongdan Station to find their next clue.

Detour:  Teams must choose between two local professions, Opera or Chinese waiter.  In Opera, teams make their way to the Beijng opera house where they are to make each other up as a Chinese gentleman and princess.  Then they present themselves to the master for their next clue.  In Chinese waiter, teams make their way to a restaurant and choose a table of hungry patrons.  The customers give their orders in their own language.  Teams must recite these orders back to the chef.  When they recite these orders correctly, in the same language as the patrons, the kitchen staff will prepare the dishes, and teams then serve them all before receiving their next clue.

Tammy and Victor moved up to first place, and chose to do waiter.  Margie & Luke decided to do the Opera.  Jaime & Cara chose Opera, as well as Kisha and Jen.  Victor and Tammy, who know the language, got the orders wrong and had to go back to the customers to get them again.  In Opera, Luke was having great difficulty painting his mom’s face.

Victor & Tammy were the first team to complete the Detour, and received their next clue.  It was the 2nd and final U-Turn found along the race course.  Teams have the opportunity to slow down another team, forcing them to back-track and perform the other side of the Detour.  They also will be held accountable by posting their picture so that the team that they slow down will know who did it to them.

Victor and Tammy were the first to arrive at the U-Turn, so they decided to U-Turn Kisha and Jen, because they did not want to go up against them again with their superior athletic abilities of running (not swimming).  Next clue was for teams to make their way to Dong Hua Men Yi Shi Market, where they will find their next clue.

Road Block:  A task where only one person may perform, which is eat a plate of creatures (grasshoppers, larva, scorpions, and star-fish) in order to receive their next clue.  Victor was the Team member who had to eat the plate, and complained the whole time while his sister cheered him on.  No other teams were with them, and Victor finished the plate way ahead of the other teams.  Their next clue directed them to Niao Chao, which is the Pit Stop for this leg of the race.

Tammy and Victor finished first, and are now number one out of three teams who will be racing for the one million dollar prize.  Margie and Luke were the 2nd team to arrive.  Jaime and Cara got up to Phil at the Pit Stop who said, “I’m sorry to tell you . . . you are going to have to keep racing because you are team number three.”  The girls cried out with joy.  There has never been an all female team to win the Amazing Race, so they now have a shot at it.  Kisha and Jen finished in last place and were eliminated.  Next week, this Realty TV show of the Amazing Race will be the Season Finale!

Amazing Race 14, Episode 10

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

Starting this week’s Realty TV show of the Amazing Race, we find from the 9th Pit Stop on the race around the world, that Kisha & Jen (Sisters) departed at 1:48 PM. Tammy & Victor (Siblings Lawyers) were the and team to depart at 1:49 PM. Margie & Luke (Mother/Son) were the 3rd team to depart at 1:50 PM. Jaime & Cara (Former NFL Cheerleaders) were the last team to depart at 2:12 PM.

Teams must now fly over 1,000 miles to the city of Beijing, China, home of the 2008 Summer Olympic games. Once there, they must make their way to a foot massage spa where they will find their next clue.

All four teams were on the same flight, but Tammy & Victor, who speak the language, were able to get seated the closest to the front of the plane (row 5) and told the people at the counter to seat their competition in the back of the plane. So Jaime & Cara were stuck in the last row of the plane, and were the last to get off. But these Cheerleaders were able to find a taxi cab driver that would drive very fast, and pass the other teams on the highway, plus knew exactly where to go. So this put them in first place as they received the first clue.

Road Block: One member of the team must take part in a traditional Chinese foot massage to heal the body. That person must first drink a special tea and then experience a foot massage that walks a thin line
between pleasure and pain. If the person can endure the massage for 10 minutes, they must drink another cup of tea to receive their next clue.

If they say “uncle” to stop the massage due to great pain, they must then start over. Jaime & Cara were the first team to start the foot massage, then Kisha & Jen, Tammy & Victor, and last were Margie & Luke. After crying over the painful foot massage, Cara finished first and the cheerleaders received their next clue.
Teams must now make their way to Guanggai, Natatorium, and find their next clue. As it turns out, Tammy & Victor are the first team to arrive

at the next clue. Knowing the language helped them find the right taxi cab driver who knew the way. Detour: Sink or Swim. In sink, teams try to master the skill of synchronized diving by jumping off 3 meter spring boards together, and hitting the water in perfect unison. When they perform a jump where they
hit the water simultaneously, and they receive a passing score of “5” from the judges, they will receive their next clue.

In Swim, teams must change into speedo suits and swim eight lengths of the pool in a 400 meter relay. Team members must alternate every 2 lengths and compete against Michael Phelps’ time in the 400 meter of 4:03.84. While teams do not have to beat his time, they must each complete 200 meters of the relay to receive their next clue.

Jaime & Cara decided to do the swim task first, which paid off for them as they were the first team to finish and receive their next clue. But Tammy & Victor could not complete the “Dive” so switched to the “Swim”
event which put them behind. Margie & Luke did the “Swim” task first, and both could swim very well, and were the 2nd team to receive their next clue.

Teams must now race across town by taxi to Drum Tower. This is the Pit Stop of this leg of the race.

The Sisters, Kisha & Jen, tried “Dive” and failed, then tried “Swim” and failed, then went back to “Dive” and failed again. Jen started to cry and told Kisha she just wanted to go home. Neither of the sisters were
swimmers. But Kisha talked Jen into finishing strong by going back to the “Swim”. Both Sisters put on Life Jackets and paddled across the pool like a couple of uncoordinated 4 year-old children! Needless to say,
they were the very last team to finish this “Detour.”

The former NFL cheerleaders, Jaime & Cara, were worried about whether their taxi cab driver knew the way to Drum Tower, as they have not had very good luck with drivers during this race. However, he did know where it was and they beat out Margie & Luke. The cheerleaders were the first team to arrive at the Pit Stop. Then Phil said, “Guys, this leg of the race is not over. You are still racing. Here is your next clue.” So this week’s Realty TV show of the Amazing Race ends with a “To Be Continued.”

Episode 9 of Amazing Race 14

The Realty TV Show Amazing Race started out this week from the 8th Pit Stop, Margie & Luke were the first team to depart at 9:36AM.  Teams must now fly over 1,000 miles to Guilin, China.  When they land, teams are to travel by taxi to the street called Qing Xiu Lu and find a hair salon where they will find their next clue.

Mark & Michael were the last team to depart at 4:08 PM.  They will also have to perform a Speed Bump task for finishing in last place of this Pit Stop.  No other team will be performing this task.  They are about 4 hours behind everybody else.  They believe they just need to make some right decisions in order to stay in the game.

Jaime & Cara were the first team to arrive at the hair salon and receive their first clue.  Teams must now travel to the #24 bridge where they will find their next clue.

Road Block:  One team member has to take part in a fishing task.  Teams take a raft out to the middle of the river and have trained birds retrieve fish.  Once they catch 10 fish, the trainer will hand them their next clue.

In the Speed Bump, Mark & Michael must work as stylist at the salon, washing and drying the hair of two waiting women.  Whey they finish, they can continue on the race and hope to make up valuable lost time.

Kisha & Jen took over first place.  Teams must now race to a one thousand year old structure called Ancient South Gate.  There they will find their next clue.

Detour:  Choose between two tasks of Choreography or Calligraphy.  In Choreography, teams must participate in dancing.  They are to join a local group and learn their dance.  Then perform the dance together in front of a pair of judges, and upon perfectly performing the steps with the correct moves, will receive from the judge their next clue.

In Calligraphy, teams are to copy a series of Chinese characters which form the name of the part of their next station.  Whey they reach their fourth and final station, the artist will hand them their next clue.

Tammy & Victor, who are Chinese, were the first team to finish.  The clue was to travel to the next Pit Stop.  Teams must make their way to Banyan Lake and find the view that is depicted in the picture of their clue.  The lakeside spot is the pit stop of this leg of the race.

Kisha & Jen were Team number one, Tammy & Victor Team number two, and Margie & Luke Team number three.  All three of these Teams finished within seconds of each other.

Jaime & Cara performed the dancing task while the first 3 teams who finished did the Calligraphy task.  The dancing put them behind.  The judges kept saying no, but could not speak English and explain to them what was wrong.  They kept dancing, and eventually were given their next clue.  They were therefore the fourth team to check-in to the Pit Stop.

Mark & Michael also chose the dancing task.  But, they were in last place and finished last at the Pit Stop.  Phil then checked them in and informed the brothers that they have been eliminated from the race.  They were still both grateful to have been part of this race.  For this realty TV show of Amazing Race 14, will are therefore down to only four teams where the competition can get fierce.

Episode 8 of Amazing Race 14

The Realty TV Show Amazing Race starts out this week at the point of last episode’s Pit Stop, Phuket, Thailand, we find Tammy & Victor who were the first team to arrive at 9:27AM, departed at 9:27PM.  Victor & Tammy want to take it one leg at a time.  Leg 3 showed them how you can go from 1st place to last place so easily.  Jaime & Cara were the 2nd Team to depart @ 12:31AM.  They said the language barrier really frustrated them.

Teams must now fly over 400 miles to the city of Bangkok, Thailand.  When they land, they are to travel by taxi to the outskirts of town and find a boat yard.  They then must search the grounds for their next clue.  As it turns out, all five team were on the same flight to Bangkok.

On the way to the boat yard, Kisha & Jen, sisters, got lost in their taxi as the driver didn’t know where the boat yard was located.  At the boat yard, the clue was a Road Block:  One person must tap into their mechanical abilities and apply them to transportation, “the long tail boat.”  Teams must figure out how to join a rod to its propeller, which will only work if secured the right way.  When it works properly, they will receive their next clue.

Victor’s propeller did not work, and had to go back to fix it, making them now in last place for leaving the docks.  Margie & Luke, mother/son, were the first team to leave the docks.  It was Margie who figured out how to install the propeller properly.

The next clue says teams must now navigate their boats through the Bangkok canals, using the map and their clue, to search and locate the Peninsula Pier.  There, they will find their next clue.

Margie & Luke were the first team to arrive at the Peninsula, and found the next clue.  A Detour:  Teams have to choose between 2 very routine activities.  The choice is broken teeth or broken record.

In broken teeth, teams make their way to the street of happy smiles.  Once there, they must search through 50 sets of dentures to find good matches for five of the waiting patients.  When all their patients are smiling, they will receive their next clue.

In broken record, teams must make their way to a parking lot and choose a party taxi equipped with an onboard karaoke system.  Then, while riding along a 5 mile course, they join with a group of locals and sing repeatedly to a well know Thai pop video until they reach their destination.

We find that the brothers, Mark & Michael, left their bags at the boat docks, and had to pay 200 to be driven back to pick up their bags.  This is a major mistake for them.

Margie and Luke were the only team that chose to do broken teeth, and it paid off for them as they finished before all the other teams.  Their next clue was to make their way to the next Pit Stop, Phya Thai Palace.  The last team to check-in may be eliminated.

Margie & Luke became team number one at the Pit Stop, and won a free trip to Puerto Rico.  Kisha & Jen finished the karaoke task, but had no money for a taxi to the Pit Stop because they also left their bags and a fanny pack at the boat docks.  Again, this was a very costly mistake.  They finally found a taxi that agreed to take them to the Pit Stop for free.

Jaime & Cara arrived at the Pit Stop as Team number two.  Kisha & Jen arrived 3rd, but did not have their travel documents with them, so Phil told them they had to go back and get them before being checked in.  Victor & Tammy were 4th, but were bumped up to 3rd place because they did have their bags and travel documents with them.

Mark & Michael were the 4th team to arrive, but incurred a 2 hour penalty for using personal possessions to settle their taxi bills (for having to travel back to the boat docks for the bags was costly).  They did it twice, so had a total penalty of 4 hours to wait before being checked in by Phil.

Kisha & Jen then became the 4th team to arrive.  Mark & Michael were then checked in as the last team to arrive.  However, it was a non-elimination leg, and they are still in the race.  They are also given a Speed Bump to complete on the next leg, which is a task that only they must complete before continuing on the race course.  They said that they will just have to play it at the best of their abilities.

We have seen items left behind before in previous seasons of this Realty TV show, which proved to be costly for those teams.  Yet again this season, we see two teams leaving their valuables behind.  Why would anybody leave their stuff behind in a strange country, in an unknown location?  Are these teams starting to think they are celebrities now, just because a camera is following them around?  It is obvious to us viewers that these two teams, (Kisha & Jen, and Mark & Michael), just are not thinking straight and will not be winning this game for this season if they continue to not use common sense!

7th Episode of the Amazing Race 14

The Realty TV Show Amazing Race find Tammy & Victor leaving the 6th Pit Stop of the race in first place, departing at 10:21AM with the first clue.

Amazing RaceTeams must now fly nearly 2,000 miles to Pucket, Thailand, and using only a picture, must find a gorilla statue.  It is located at a zoo, unknown to the teams, where they will find their next clue.

All the teams were on the same flights, which took 14 hours.  Upon landing, it was a mad race for the teams to find a taxi cab.  Mel & Mike believe from asking their taxi cab driver, that the statue is at the beach.  But the other teams stopped and asked and were on course by having the taxi take them to the nearest zoo, where they found the statue with the clue in it’s mouth.

Teams must now get ready to take a walk on the wild side.  Teams will have their pictures taken with a tame tiger.  Then they take part in a typical performance in which they must lay down on the ground while an elephant walks and squats over them.  After successfully completing this task, they will be given their next clue.

Mark & Michael were the first team to finish this task.  Mel & Mike eventually made it to the zoo, and were the last team to finish this task.

Teams must now make their way to the oldest herb shop in Nguan Choon Tong.  Teams must search 99 herb drawers in search of their next clue.  They must keep guessing, while taking turns with other team members, until they find the right drawer.  Mark & Michael finish this task first again.

Detour:  Two forms of physical labor, a hundred barrels or 2 miles.  In 100 barrels, teams make their way to a harbor and work to prepare a fishing ship for 10 days at sea.  They have to fill 47 barrels with enough drinking water to last the trip, and move 53 empty fish barrels from the bottom deck to the roof, and arrange them properly for the journey.

In 2 miles, teams choose a ricksaw, with one team member sitting in the back, and the other one will pull the ricksaw and make their way 2 miles through the streets to a park where they will find their next clue.  Mark & Michael choose this task, and after using one of the laid out tire pumps on their ricksaw, decide to pack up all of the pumps inside of a box where it is not really visible any more to arriving team members.  They then instruct their taxi cab to lead the way to the park, while they take turns pulling each other by jogging the full distance in the heat.

The last clue directs them to the Pit Stop.  Teams must make their way through town to Wat Thep Nimit Temple.  Mark  & Michael finished first, but were given two 30 minute penalties for messing with the pumps, and for hiring the taxi cab to guide them through the streets (other teams simply used their maps to navigate their way to the park.).

Tammy & Victor arrived at the Pit Stop next, and were awarded first place.  Next came Jaime & Cara, making 2nd place.  Then Mark & Michael were checked in as 3rd place.  Margie & Luke 4th, but Margie fainted right after being checked in due to heat exhaustion, but Phil caught her from falling.  Kisha & Jen made it to 5th place.  Mel & Mike finished in last place, and were eliminated from the race.  This ended this week’s realty TV show of the Amazing Race.

A Trip To India

The Realty TV Show, the Amazing Race 14, started this week from the 5th Pit Stop, Margie & Luke were the first team to arrive, so they were the first team to depart at 12:18AM.  Teams now must fly nearly 2,000 miles to Jaipur, India.  They then must ravel by taxi to find the Sacred Tree for their next clue.

The flight path was to Moscow first, then to New Delhi, and finally all teams met up for the last flight leg which left at 5:40AM to Jaipur, India.  We find the blondes, Christie & Jodi, were still in last place because their taxi had to stop along the way to fill-up on gas.  They were optimistic that they could catch up on any physical task. Tammy & Victor were the first team to race to the first clue, which was to travel to Amber Park for their next clue.

Teams then found a Road Block.  One person must work by taking care of a group of camels.  The team member is put in charge of a group of camels, and must bring to them food and water to satisfy them.  Once they have the right amount, the camel master hands them their next clue.

Tammy & Victor finished this Road Block first, and the next clue had teams racing to the Puppet Store where they would find their next clue to follow.

The Mel & Mike team had Mel, the 68 year old father, doing this physical task which he really suffered through all of the physical labor.  But, no heart attack, and he finished the task in second place.

Then next clue was a Detour:  Teams have to choose between two tasks:  Movers or Shakers.  In movers, teams choose a cart loaded high in barrels, then transport them by pedaling 1 ½ miles through heavy traffic, and at their destination they search through their containers for a small metal elephant which they exchange for their next clue.

In shakers, teams travel to a busy intersection, put on traditional costumes & make-up, and join a dance group.  Then they go around in the streets and shake their hips for tips.  Once they have earned enough money, they exchange it with the band leader for their next clue.

The blondes, Christie & Jodi, now have to perform a Speed Bump for finishing last place on the last leg.  There task is to decorate an elephant with paint, before joining the others on the Detour task.

The teams must now race by taxi to Jaigarh Fort, a 15th century fortress, which the pit stop for this leg of the race.  The last team to arrive will be eliminated.  So Tammy & Victor end up as team number one, and winners of this week’s race.  Mel & Mike 2nd place, Kisha & Jen 3rd place, Margie & Luke 4th place, Jaime & Cara 5th place, Mark & Michael 6th place, and last place was Christie & Jodi who were then eliminated from the race.  This was not surprising, as they had to perform the Speed Bump.  Also, out of 14 of these Realty TV shows of the Amazing Race, no girl, blonde team has ever won!

5TH Episode Of The Amazing Race 14

The Realty TV Show, The Amazing Race, starts out this week with Christie & Jodie (the blondes), leaving the Pit Stop first at 12:34PM (since they finished in first place on the last leg of this race).

Teams must now walk to the train station and ride the railroad across nearly 400 miles of frozen Tundra to Novosibirsk, Russia.  They then race to find their next clue at Punkt Techiceskogo Osmotra.

There was a 10 hour wait at the train station, so all the teams caught up with Christie & Jodie, and rode the train together.  On the train, they were able to use the beds to catch up on their sleep.  Luke was named the “sinister deaf kid” for using the U-Turn on the last leg and eliminating a team.

The next clue was a Detour – Teams must choose between a Russian Bride or a Russian Snow Plow.  In the Russian Bride, teams must choose a car with a 4-speed manual transmission, find a large soviet apartment complex and search for one of the waiting brides.  Once found, teams must figure out how to drive her across town to a church where her groom is waiting.  When the photographer snaps their wedding picture, the groom will hand over their next clue.

In Russian Snow Plow, teams choose a car and drive themselves downtown to a stadium, then each take a turn operating a snow plow through a training course to receive their next clue.

We find that Tammy & Victor were the first team to complete this task, putting them into first place.

Teams must now drive themselves to the largest library in Siberia, Bibliotekah, where they search for their next clue.  It is a Road Block, where one person must participate in a winter marathon, while only wearing their underwear.  (A couple of the girls were not wearing any underwear, so rather than run in the nude, they were given underwear to use.) They then must warm up with 2 runners for 10 minutes, then strip down to their underwear, run 1.4 miles to the Novosibirsk Theater where their teammate, who travelled there separately, will be waiting for them.  This is the Pit Stop for this leg of the race.

Margie & Luke finish the leg as Team number one, (This is the 2nd time they have placed first).  Tammy & Victor were 2nd, Jaime & Cara 3rd, Mel & Mike 4th, Mark & Michael 5th, Kisha & Jen 6th, and Christie & Jodi finished in last place.  (For whatever reason, blondes never do well on this show . . . and have never won.).

Christie & Jodi are not eliminated on this realty tv show, episode 5 of The Amazing Race 14.  But sometime in the race for the next leg, they must complete a Speed Bump, a task only they have to complete, and they must complete it before they continue racing. As a consequence for doing this Speed Bump, it may seriously jeopardize Christie & Jodi from staying in the race.  So they have to race even harder!  But the blondes tell Phil they see themselves as the underdogs, and believe that they perform better when in last place!

Amazing Race 14, Episode 4

Espisode 4

The Realty TV show Amazing Race 14 started out at the 3rd Pit Stop for the race around the world.  Mel & Mike (father and son) who were the first to arrive at 10:49AM, got to depart at 10:49PM.

All teams now must travel to Krasnoyarsk, deep in the heart of Syberia, then travel by taxi to the Hydroelectric Dam where they can find their next clue.

Amanda & Kris, the young competitive couple, were the 2nd team to depart at 10:53PM.  Kisha & Jen were 3rd to depart at 10:55PM.  Margie & Luke (mother and son) departed 4th at 11:06PM.  Mark & Michael (brothers/stuntmen) departed 5th at 11:07PM.  Christi & Jodi (Flight Attendants) were 6th to leave at 11:08PM, and were clever in asking the taxi to stop at an Internet Café on the way to the airport.  Since these blondes work in the travel business, they were able to log on and research possible flights.  They knew exactly how to route successfully through different destinations.  It turns out that these blondes are pretty and smart!  They booked their flight online before any other team.

Jamie & Cara depart 7th, at 11:29PM.  While Mark & Michael borrow the taxi cab drivers cellular telephone to call ahead to the airlines, the phone ends up dialing the other taxi where Jaime & Cara decide to pretend that they are airline reservationist and played a joke on the brothers!

Tammy & Victor (siblings/Lawyers) are the last team to depart at 1:30AM.  The teams end up travelling on one of four possible connecting flights landing at Krasnoyarsk Airport.  Each team needs to show a picture of the dam on the back of a bill to the taxi driver who says he knows where that place is and will drive them there.

Mark & Michael are leading in 1st place with Jennifer & Kisha, along with Jodi & Kristi, who all took the fastest connection flights.  Everybody else got stuck back at the other airport because they missed ultimately the ideal flight, which was the earlier flight the leading teams took.

But our three leading teams get to the dam at night and find out that it doesn’t open until 8:30Am, and have to wait it out.  When it finally opened, the clue said teams must now race to the church of Saint Innokenty.  They then must choose to stack or construct.  Stacking involves a huge pile of firewood.  Construct is where they find a workshop and materials to build a set of traditional wood shutters.

The brothers chose stacking, but it turned out that they were no good at it, because it fell down and knocked down the stack of wood behind it, which meant they had to re-stack that other fire wood stack also.  So the guys were discouraged and decided to screw it and leave this mess and go do the construct task.  But once there, they can’t find the proper house to install the shutters, (they are not very observant), so end up waiting for two more teams to arrive (who also had their fire wood stack fall down) and together all 3 teams work together.

On the next clue, the teams find a U-Turn (one of 2 U-Turns found along the race course).  A U-Turn appears at the end of a Detour.  A Team can use the power of the U-Turn to slow down another team and force them to backtrack and perform the other side of the Detour.  A new twist in this season’s TV realty show is that teams can now remain unknown about choosing to use a U-Turn (blind).

The new clue states that teams must take a taxi to a local amusement park, Bobrovy Log Park, and search for their next clue.  Kisha & Jen are now in first place as they run to catch a taxi, with the blondes only a couple of minutes behind them.

At the park, the teams find a Roadblock, where only one member of a team must ride a bobsled, with a speed of up to 55 MPH, completing a 3-mile course in just 4 minutes or less.  They must also look for 7 letters posted along the way.  Upon remembering those letters, they most unscramble the letters to spell a famous Russian playwright, CHEKHOV.

Back at the U-Turn, we find our mother and son team declaring Amanda & Kris.  It was actually the hearing impaired Luke who told his mother to do so, because after all, they were playing the game for a one million dollar prize!

To complete this last leg of the race and report in to Phil at the Pit Stop, teams must take a taxi to the Theater of Musical Comedy, Krasnoyarsk Theater.  Christie & Jodi finished in 1st place, as the winners of this leg of the race.  They both screamed and jumped for joy.  The blondes each won a brand new motorcycle, a cool 650 bike, which they both smiled about.

Kisha & Jen finished right behind them as team number 2.  They got lost trying to find the main entrance, and were attempting entry backstage.  But overall, it looks like girl power is dominating this week’s race, despite the physical labor involved in performing the stack and/or construct tasks!

Tammy & Victor went from last place (from last week’s show), to finishing this week’s leg as team number 3.  Margie & (evil) Luke finished in 4th place.  Jaime & Cara finished in 5th place.  Mel & Mike were team number 6.  Mark & Michael finished 7th.  Amanda & Kris, who were U-Turned by Luke, were the last team to arrive and have been eliminated from the race.  They said that as a couple, they were able to get to know each other much better now, while racing around the world, and each said that they will remain as a couple for life.
